Define one deliverable
For a first pilot, use a contained task: one six-second product shot, an approved presenter script or an edited interview excerpt. Specify audience, message, aspect ratio, duration and delivery format. Keep the creative objective consistent across candidates.
Match the workflow before comparing tools
Use a video creation agent for a script-led message, or an editing agent for existing recordings. Comparing these against the same vague request would tell you little about their fit.
Prepare an approved input pack
Include the brief, permitted assets, reference frames, brand rules and any approved script. Record who owns the inputs and whether the intended use is permitted. Check provider terms before uploading confidential material or identifiable people.
Set the decision rules first
- What must the shot communicate?
- Which brand details must remain accurate?
- What visual defects or script errors make an output unusable?
- How much editing time and spend can this task justify?
- Who gives final creative approval?
Record every attempt
Use a run log with product, plan, date, model where exposed, prompts, settings, generation cost, elapsed time and output. Keep rejected attempts and record why they failed. Repeat the task at least five times before drawing a reliability conclusion.
Measure a usable deliverable
Count generation spend plus review and editing time. Divide by the number of outputs that meet the brief. A cheap generation can become an expensive result if it needs repeated retries or substantial correction. Report both the input costs and the assumptions used to value human time.
Publish what the evidence supports
A useful evaluation shows the brief, representative successes and failures, corrections and limitations. Publish client assets only with permission. Our review method sets the evidence needed before a product receives a tested label or score.
